Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using YidCalendar, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or its services. You must be legally able to agree to these terms in your jurisdiction.
Calendar and religious information
YidCalendar provides calendar information, zmanim estimates, learning schedules, prayer text, reminders, events, and planning tools for personal organization. This information is not a halachic ruling, medical advice, or a substitute for guidance from a qualified rabbi or healthcare professional. Customs, circumstances, locations, and published schedules can differ. You are responsible for verifying important dates, times, texts, and practices before relying on them.
Accounts and synchronization
Some optional features require a YidCalendar account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Do not upload or synchronize another person’s information without permission. Optional account and iCloud synchronization may be disabled when you no longer want to use it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use YidCalendar in violation of law or another person’s rights.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, purchase, rate-limit, or security controls.
- Probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or its backend services.
- Upload malicious content or use online features for spam or harassment.
- Misrepresent YidCalendar information as medical, emergency, or rabbinic advice.
Third-party services
Optional features rely on services supplied by Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, OpenAI, calendar providers, and Kol Halashon. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. YidCalendar is not responsible for outages, account restrictions, media availability, or other actions controlled by those providers.
Purchases and subscriptions
If paid features or subscriptions are offered, their price, duration, trial terms, and renewal details will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple are billed and managed through your Apple ID and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms. You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your App Store account settings. Except where required by law or Apple policy, refunds are handled by the platform that processed the purchase.
Ownership
YidCalendar, its original design, software, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public-domain source texts and factual calendar information remain subject to their respective status and attribution. These terms do not grant you a right to copy, resell, or distribute the app or use YidCalendar branding without permission.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features to improve the app, protect users, comply with law, or address technical and service-provider requirements. We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YidCalendar is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or error-free calendar, religious, weather, location, or reminder information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, YidCalendar and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by reliance on calculations, missed reminders, synchronization choices, or service outages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
You may stop using YidCalendar at any time. We may restrict access to online services for a material violation of these terms, unlawful conduct, security risk, abuse, or service-provider compliance requirements. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations—will continue to apply.
